How many times you can reschedule your US visa appointment

There is a limit

The portal of the United States consulates limits how many times you can reschedule your appointment. That much is certain. What is not certain is the number.

Why we don’t give you a number

Because there is no reliable one. The number is set by the portal and has changed over time; the Embassy publishes none, and blogs give figures that don’t match each other and don’t say where they come from.

How to see yours

Before you move your appointment, sign in to the portal and open the screen where you reschedule. If the portal shows you how many reschedules you have left, you will see it there; that one, on your own screen, is the one that counts.

Spend each move with care

Reschedule to the date you really want, not to any date a little earlier: if you move your appointment to a date that is only slightly better, you spend a reschedule and may have none left for the one you did want.

What Reagenda does about it

Reagenda reschedules only when a date you accepted appears, not every time it can. That is what the date filters are for: you choose which dates work for you and it only moves to one that meets them, so your reschedules are not spent on any date a little earlier. See how Reagenda works.
