How to move your US visa appointment earlier in the portal

If you already have a US visa appointment and want an earlier date, you can reschedule it yourself in the portal of the United States consulates.

1. Sign in to your portal account

   With the e-mail and password you booked your appointment with.

2. Open your appointment and choose to reschedule

   The portal shows you the available dates at your consulate and at your CAS center.

3. If there is an earlier date that works for you, take it

   The portal moves the consulate appointment and the CAS one — fingerprints and photo — at the same time.

Why are there sometimes no earlier dates?

Dates appear when other people release theirs, and that cannot be predicted. There is not always an earlier one; checking often is what helps, because the good ones are taken fast.
